The DiMarzio DP222 D Activator-X bridge position humbucker features the same striking look as their popular X2N pickup. However DiMarzio has adjusted the output and tuned the coils to different frequencies to create a powerful sound.
The D Activator X is wide open and surprisingly clean pickup when the volume control is rolled down, even with extreme metal and high-gain amps. It’s is also very good for clean, bright sounds in split and parallel modes.
