Description
The MEINL Headliner djembe has outstanding acoustic properties that reach from deep, reasonant bass notes to cutting, high-pitched slaps. The shell is hand carved from a single piece of mahogany and has a gouged, textured surface giving it an even more traditional look. Hand selected goat skin heads are held in place and tuned using a traditional system of nylon rope, and produce classic djembe sounds, from the bassy boom in the middle, to the sharp pops at the edges. It’s perfect for drum circles, jam sessions or live shows, and can be played right out of the box.
